I made Churros for Cinco de Mayo. Here's the recipe:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- oil for frying
- cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
1. In a medium sauce pan bring to a boil water, oil, salt, and sugar.
2. In a mixing bowl stir flour and baking powder together.
3. Once water boils slowly pour boiling water into flour. Stirring constantly with a fork until it is a
smooth dough without any lumps.
4. Immediately place dough in a pastry bag with a 1M tip.
5. Carefully pipe dough in hot oil (350-375 degrees) and fry until golden brown.

6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
